To create a website folder in the current folder, you proceed as follows:
• Select File New Website Folder in the top menu.
• By clicking the tabs of the ‘Add Website Folder’ form, you may specify the essential attributes of the new website folder.
• General: Here you specify name and an optional description.
• Layout Page: You are offered three options of setting a layout page for the new website folder: No layout page, Default and BSCW. Selecting the latter two options generates a predefined layout page with a basic and useful functionality. When you choose to have no layout page at first, you may specify one later.
• Home Page: You are again offered three options of setting a home page for the new website folder: No home page, Default and Demo. The default home page has minimal functionality, while the demo page exhibits most of the features that website folder pages are capable of. When you choose to have no home page at first, you may specify one later. Unless you do so, however, your new website folder will not be a “real” website folder: it will open like a normal folder when you click its icon or name.
• Hit [OK] to create the website folder according to the specifications made so far. All properties of the website folder may also be specified and changed at a later point in time.
After having created a website folder, you may now start to create or upload the content pages of your website folder. See 5.5.3 Editing pages in website folders on how to take advantage of the BSCW possibilities offered in this respect.
If you have chosen to have no home and/or layout page generated when creating the new website folder, see next section on how to create such pages afterwards.
