Create wiki

To create a wiki in the current folder, do the following:

Select Wiki from the top menu.

The 'New Wiki' form has the tabs 'General', 'Content', 'Design' and 'Automatic versioning'.

General: Specify the name and optionally tags and a description. You can also set the default view of the wiki (web view or normal folder view) and decide whether to create a template folder "Page Templates" with a template "Empty" that will be used when creating new pages with Page.

Contents: Select the initial content of the wiki. The default option "Basic" only provides an empty start page. The remaining options give an impression of the possibilities of a wiki and must of course be adapted to your specific circumstances. The "Demo" option attempts to demonstrate as many wiki design options as possible. Regardless of which choice you make, you can revise the start and other pages later.

Design: You are offered three layouts, each with two styles. The "Tree" style is suitable for hierarchically organized websites, the "Query" style for an unstructured set of pages where you can find your way around by author names, tags and categories. For PC-oriented layouts, you can include or not include the ability to comment on pages. So, in total, you can choose from ten design options. Your selection results in two corresponding documents of your wiki, the layout page and the style definition. Both can be revised later.

Automatic versioning: Select the strategy for automatic versioning in your wiki. The default is to store a maximum of 10 versions of a document in the wiki, so that you can still undo changes later. In the web view, the latest version of a page is displayed. To revert to an earlier version, you must delete the newer versions.

Click [OK] to create the new wiki according to the specifications made so far. All properties of the wiki can be changed afterwards.

After you have created a wiki, you can now proceed to create or upload the content pages of your wiki (see the next section for this). Your new wiki will contain at least a home page (can have a different name) and a Resources folder with the four resource documents: Layout (the layout page), Print (the print template), Search (the search results page), and Style (the style definition), depending on the automatic versioning option you choose as versioned documents.

You can change the name, tags, description and setting for automatic versioning of a wiki with Ein Bild, das Tisch, Hocker enthält.

Automatisch generierte Beschreibung Change Properties in the context menu of the wiki again as with other folders. How you can also change the appearance of the wiki here is explained below.

If you want to structure your new wiki hierarchically, create sub-wiki as follows.

To do this, use the Ein Bild, das Tisch, Hocker enthält.

Automatisch generierte Beschreibung Open as Folder context menu to open the wiki as a folder

Select Sub-Wiki from the context menu of the wiki to which you want to add the sub-folder.

Specify a name and optionally tags and description and click [OK].

The new sub-wiki contains an empty start page with the name of the sub-folder as its title. It inherits all other settings (appearance, automatic versioning) from the containing wiki. Sub-wiki are displayed as content of the wiki in the web view by default, normal sub-folders are not.
