Export folders and documents with FTP

The action 'FTP export' allows the transfer of entire folder structures to an FTP server, such as the entire folders and files of a website stored in BSCW. To do this, proceed as follows:

Select  Send to FTP server in the context menu of the folder whose entire contents including subfolders you want to transfer. Empty subfolders are not transferred.

The 'FTP Export' form requires the following information:

FTP host,

FTP path on the FTP server,

FTP user identification,

FTP password,

Character set for file names on the FTP host (BSCW uses the Unicode character set UTF-8 for object names).

All FTP parameters, except the password, are saved and thus preserved for future transfers.

You can also export a single document by selecting  Send to FTP Server from the document's context menu. Calling this action from the context menu of a folder entry has the same effect as described above.

Note: If you repeat the 'FTP Export' action for the same FTP server, only those documents that have been modified since the last transfer will be transferred by default. However, you can also cause all documents to be transferred without exception by checking the appropriate option.
