Export Wiki and make it publicly available

You may create an evaluated copy of your wiki, i.e. a copy where the BSCW and text elements have been evaluated and replaced and where all content pages are embedded in the layout page. Such a copy is called a "static" copy because all elements that determine the appearance of the wiki have been evaluated once and for all. Static copies are created in your clipboard and can be pasted from there into a normal folder, exported to an external web server, or sent by email. You create a static copy as follows:

Select  Static Copy from the wiki context menu.

In the 'Static copy' action form you can choose whether all objects of the wiki are copied or only the HTML documents and sub-wiki with their HTML documents.

Click [OK] to start the copy process. If there are BSCW elements in the wiki pages that cannot be transferred to a static context, you will be informed about this in an additional form.

A static copy of a wiki does not look exactly as it would when viewed directly in BSCW. BSCW elements that cannot be transferred to a static context (action links, menus, etc.) are missing in a static copy; other elements may look slightly different.
