Personal templates

In your personal templates you store custom templates and metadata profiles for your personal use. These objects are available when you want to make copies of templates withFrom Template or assign a new metadata profile to an object with  Metadata Profile.

Templates are used as patterns for frequently used types of documents (letters, reports, forms) that usually contain extensive layout and formatting information and possibly calculation formulas. In BSCW, arbitrary objects may also be declared as templates: Surveys, flow folders, tasks and even folders with their entire contents including a subfolder structure.

Metadata profiles summarize metadata attributes of a specific BSCW object type. In addition to the predefined system profiles, you may define your own metadata profiles that you may store in your personal templates.

Click on  in the navigation tree to open your personal template folder.

You can create new templates and metadata profiles in your personal templates.

To do this, create a new object through the menu. Then you have to edit this object (e.g. document, folder, survey) so that it can serve as a template.

SelectMetadata Profile for ..... the newly created object to create a new metadata profile for a specific object type.

Of course, you can also copy or cut existing templates and metadata profiles and paste them into your personal template folder.

You can also create template subfolders in your personal template folder with template Folder, where you can also create and store templates and metadata profiles. This way you can structure your personal templates.

You can make individual metadata profiles and entire template subfolders accessible to other users with  Add Member access.
