Roles and rights

BSCW offers extensive role and rights management. You may define new roles, modify existing ones and subsequently assign them to users or groups. The roles and rights dialog may be opened via the member menu  shown in the following figure.

The predefined roles are usually sufficient and do not need to be changed. If you still want to create your own roles, you can find an overview of the possible rights here.

Furthermore, roles can be derived from other roles, so that rights are inherited. For more in-formation, see 5.2 Access rights and roles.
