The organizer of an appointment poll can allow participants to suggest other participants. If this is the case, the invitation email for a meeting also contains a URL that points to a page where you can suggest other people to participate in the meeting, for example, if you do not want to participate yourself.
They suggest other people to participate in the appointment as follows.
• Click the Suggest Attendee link of the invitation email or open the appointment poll and click [Suggest Attendee] in the appointment poll form. If you are a member of the workspace that contains the appointment scheduling, you can also suggest new participants by selecting Suggest the context menu of the appointment scheduling.
• In the action form 'Suggest participants' you select additional participants (just as you would select members of a workspace). You may also enter e-mail addresses of persons who are not registered users of your BSCW server; these persons may participate in a meeting without registering as BSCW users.
• Click [OK] to either invite your proposed people directly or to inform the organizer about your proposal, who will then decide how to proceed with your proposal.
Depending on the configuration of your BSCW server and the specifications of the organizer, the persons you propose will either be invited directly or the invitation has to be confirmed by the organizer beforehand. In the latter case, the organizer will receive an email message. The organizer may also
• Select in the context menu of the appointment scheduling.
• In the action form 'Invite proposed or additional participants' the proposals are already entered under 'Selected users'.
• Click [OK] to invite the suggested persons. At this point, you can also invite other people to the appointment coordination.
