Tags are freely assigned keywords that may be used to describe and classify most BSCW objects. Thus folders, documents, URLs, notes, RSS feeds, communities and even users may be tagged. Tags are used to find objects and discover relationships between objects.
Tags can be assigned to new objects when they are created by filling in the 'Tags' field of the action form. Objects can have any number of tags. Enter your tags as space-separated words. Note that tags are not case sensitive.
You can assign new tags to existing objects, or modify or delete existing tags by
• You select in the context menu of the object in question and change the tags in the 'Attributes' tab.
Tags - like attributes with names - are displayed below the object description. They also appear as tooltips if the view settings are set so that no descriptions or only compact descriptions are displayed.
Tags displayed in a folder overview can be clicked to trigger a search for objects with the same tag. In this case, the search is performed in the smallest workspace that contains the current folder, i.e. the workspace that inherits its members from the current folder.
Apart from this possibility to start a tag search, tags may also be used in normal BSCW searches.
