You can use the version state of a document to indicate the status (e.g. maturity level) of an associated work process. For example, a document can initially be marked as 'draft'; after a review, the state could be set to 'accepted' and later to 'released'.
You may agree with your partners on suitable states for joint work processes and enter them in the version state field. To make work easier, BSCW offers a menu with three version states:
• experimental,
• stable,
• released.
