Setting up version control for a document means creating a new object of the 'Document under version control' type using the existing document as the initial version.
• Select in the context menu of the document.
• In the 'Place under version control' form, enter the description, state and number of the original version.
As a result of the action, the entry of the document changes:
o A version number is inserted after the name of the document.
o In the context menu of the document, the action [New version] is offered instead of [Replace].
In addition, when applied to documents under version control, the following BSCW actions affect the current version of the document:
• Clicking on the document name or the file type icon to the left of it will download the current version.
• and concern the current version.
You can only undo the version control setup for a document by deleting all versions of the document (see 8.3.5).
