BSCW may inform the members of a workspace about events in different ways. Events for BSCW objects may be found on the info page of the respective object.
• Event icons in folder overviews inform at a glance which actions have recently been performed on an object. BSCW distinguishes between different event types: , , , and . Each of these icons behind an object name indicates that at least one action of the respective type has recently taken place. Click on the event icon to get a list of these events.
• A detailed history of all events on an object is kept available for all objects. It goes back as far as your BSCW administrator keeps events. In the context menu of an object select to see its history. The button shows more events.
• The regular email report lists all interesting events or microblog messages of the past day or week across all your work areas.
• Instant email informs the user immediately about events or microblog messages.
You can also export all events of an object in the form of a comma-separated . csv file. In the context menu of an object select to see its history and subsequently open the entire event list via the button . This way you can further process the event data e.g. with a spreadsheet program.
