Search folders show query and search range immediately above the list of search results. The query, which in the general case can be very complex, is shown in an abbreviated form containing only its type (AND, OR) and the search criteria involved.
For simple queries that use only one specific search term to search (possibly in multiple search expressions), you can change that one search term and start a new search without having to fill out the search form.
• Enter the changed search term in the offered search field and click on [Search again].
In a search folder, the following additional actions are offered in the context menu.
• Select to repeat your search with modified
query.
• Select to repeat your search unchanged.
• Select
temporary search results permanently. Specify optional name, description
and tags for the search folder if you want the name to be different from the
default name. In the navigation pane, select the destination folder where the
search folder should be saved. By default, the search folder is saved in the
current folder. If your browser does not support Dojo (see also 4.8.1 Personal settings), the permanent search folder
will appear in your clipboard, from where you can paste it in a suitable place.
All these actions are also available as icons in the Quick Launch toolbar if you have configured it that way in your personal settings.
You can exclude individual, non-interesting search results from the display by selecting
• Select
in the context menu of a search result.
As a result, this result will no longer be displayed in the search folder, even if the search is repeated or the query is modified. If search results are ignored, 'Result list' is displayed at the right end of the multi-selection toolbar.
The ignored results are summarized in the Ignore list,
which can be displayed by again in the context menu. By
clicking on
you return to the result list. Switching from the result list to the ignore list
and back can also be done in the menu that is offered after clicking on 'Result
list' or 'Ignore list'.
The Ignore list is not a personal setting, it applies to all members of the search folder.
If your BSCW server does not use an indexing service for searching, you may filter search results by e.g. object type and file type just like in a normal folder. Ignoring search results has no effect when filtering by other criteria, i.e. in this case ignored search results are also displayed. If your BSCW server uses an indexing service, there is no possibility to filter search results by other criteria for performance reasons.
